The world has been pretty much aware of Emma Raducanu‘s rise to fame at the 2021 US Open. Her title run was one for ages, as she managed to engrave her name in the record books after winning a Grand Slam as a qualifier. However, since then, her results in major and other events have been underwhelming. She failed to make a single WTA tournament final, let alone win a title. Moreover, Raducanu hasn’t gone past the second round of a slam since her title run in 2021.
Naturally, questions have been raised about her form. To add to her misery, she has also missed the last two Grand Slams as she’s still recovering from surgeries. It has come to a point where the fans have written her off. But, Raducanu’s agent has a strong message for her naysayers in light of recent events.

The Briton has been completely written off by many tennis fans. Her Grand Slam run is being termed as a ‘fluke’ on social media owing to her lack of consistency. However, people forget that Raducanu is still only 20 and has plenty of years ahead of her. In an appearance in The Tennis Podcast, Max Eisenbud, Emma Raducanu’s agent backed the Briton to bounce back strongly.
Eisenbud said, “Anyone that’s betting against her, like, I wouldn’t bet against her, she’s gonna figure this all out. She’s gonna settle in. She’s young. You don’t just accidentally win the US Open the way she did. You have to be great to do what she did. I think that she will settle and things will get more calm for her. And I think she’ll make more deep runs. I think that she’ll win more grand slams when it’s all said and done.”
As Raducanu resumes her training after a long hiatus, she receives strong backing from her agent. But does she have a chance of returning anytime soon?

Emma Raducanu might not be fit for the US Open
Raducanu has been out for over two months now. Her surgeries and injuries kept her out of the Tour for a considerable period, and she has only started training again recently. With just about a month left for the US Open to commence, the Briton’s chances of playing the Slam look bleak. Even if she manages to get a wildcard, there’s a strong chance that she would enter New York without playing any lead-up tournaments.
