Coco Gauff is ready for her 2023 season. She claimed that she has practiced a lot in her off-season. The American star will start her 2023 campaign at the Auckland ASB Classic, which will be held next month. She has played in the city before and was eager to be back in one of her favorite tournaments. Gauff captioned her recent Instagram story as, “12 hours trapped in the air😭😭😭 *see you soon* New Zealand.” Gauff has prepared a lot for her first competition of 2023 in New Zealand. The former World No. 4 will play in the WTA 250 ASB Classic as the top seed. She will play to capture her third singles championship.
The event is back after a protracted absence because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Gauff lost every doubles match she played on the group stage. She concluded the 2022 season ranked seventh in the globe with a 38-23 win-loss record.

Gauff also posted a series of beautifully made gingerbread houses on her Instagram stories before Christmas eve. Gauff’s season, which included some of the best performances of her professional career thus far, came to an end with the longest losing streak of her short career.
The American star had never suffered more than three straight losses in a row since her time competing on the juniors tour. Gauff’s skid began after she suffered a tough 6-7(2), 6-4, 3-6 defeat to Victoria Azarenka in the Guadalajara Open quarterfinal round. In her maiden WTA Finals appearance, the 18-year-old went on to drop every match.
