Coco Gauff and her new partner, Katerina Siniakova have battled into Paris doubles final. While the 28-year-old tennis player collaborated with the 20-year-old tennis player to save the day, after her doubles partner Jessica Pegula pulled out of the tournament due to her persistent injury. However, while she is currently dominating the French Open, for her there is also a family connection in the same circle.

It’s none other than, Daniel Siniakov. He is the younger brother of renowned WTA player Kateřina Siniaková, who has won numerous Grand Slam titles and enjoyed great success in doubles. Siniakov is a professional tennis player from the Czech Republic who has mostly played on the ITF Futures and ATP Challenger Tours.

He was born on October 9, 1998, and has been trying to make a name for himself in the world of professional tennis. He has competed in several singles and doubles tournaments at the lower professional levels, which are among his career highlights. However, he is working to get better and move up the ATP rankings.

Dmitri and Hana Siniakova are the parents of Kateřina Siniaková. Dmitri, Kateřina’s father, is a former boxer who turned to tennis coaching. His distinct training style and athletic outlook have helped her progress as a professional tennis player. Her mother, Hana, provides a steady and encouraging work environment for the family as an accountant.

However, on the tennis front, when Pegula took a step back from participating in the French Open, playing doubles with Siniakova was a last-minute call. On the other hand, she also has an intention to partner with the Czech player.

Coco Gauff’s idea behind partnering with Katerina Siniakova

After winning the second round of the doubles side, the Grand Slam champion talked in a press conference about the potential idea behind having a double partner, after Pegula’s withdrawal from events. The reported dropped a question saying, “How has the process been for you generally in  picking uh your partner like, what’s the kind of thought process.”

She stated, “It was just last-minute decision. I really I was trying to find like an American to play with because Jesse pulled out, and obviously the Olympics are going to be here. So my whole plan at the start of the year was to try to play with somebody I could potentially play with at the Olympics and um you know, that was kind of last-minute thrown out.” 

With great anticipation, the tennis world watches as Coco Gauff and Katerina Siniakova continue their adventures at Roland Garros as their new collaboration develops. Fans and commentators alike are interested to see how this partnership develops over the season and might even carry over to the Olympic Games, which are quickly approaching.
