Alize Cornet firmly believes that “everything happens for a reason.” This is a philosophy she follows starting from her preparation for her farewell tournament to her discovery of the perfect partner in her coach Pierre Arfi. Although her athletic ability has always been well-known, her love life has recently gained attention, prompting people to wonder: who is her new partner, and what connections does he have to the tennis community?

French-born Pierre Arfi is a tennis coach, according to his LinkedIn page. He had previously served at the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy, just like Cornet’s former partner. He currently works as a freelance coach on the French Riviera, offering his services to athletes who require coaching or tournament support.

The 34-year-old tennis player reportedly called it quits on her long-term partnership with Michael Kuzaj last year. As a former tennis player, Kuzaj represented the University of Southern Indiana (NCAA II) in collegiate competitions and took part in national events. However, the reason for their breakup is still not known. But Cornet and Pierre Arfi are now blissfully in love.

As of now, the 34-year-old tennis player’s boyfriend is there in Paris with her. The couple along with Caroline Gracia and her boyfriend was there in the stands to witness Rafael Nadal‘s first-round heartbreaking exit, from the French Open. Recently, the former 11th-ranked player took to her Instagram account, to share an amazing selfie of the four of them.

Not only that, the couple celebrated their anniversary last year. However, apart from that, they have not provided any updates regarding how they met each other or how their love story started. In November, Cornet took to her Instagram account and highlighted the idea that everything happens for a reason while sharing several selfies with Arfi from their travels throughout the world.

Along with that, she wrote, “I understand better what that means now. All this time, you were my reason. And since you, everything makes sense.” In addition to their many business travels, the couple has enjoyed a number of leisure trips, visiting places like Andalusia and Ibiza.

She said, “Roland-Garros represents 20 years of my life. It was my first tournament. It was my first Grand Slam tournament when I was 15, and it will be my 20th this year. This is where I wanted to say farewell to professional tennis.”

However, while her relationship with Pierre Arfi is getting stronger, she is ready to leave tennis behind. In addition, she will begin her first-round campaign in her farewell tournament by battling against the world No.7, Qinwen Zheng.
