Iga Swiatek continues her dominant run at the Roland Garros against the Italian Jasmine Paolini. The Pole is on her way to claim the 4th French Open title and the 3rd consecutive- a three-peat! Does this sound familiar to one of the Big3? Yes, Rafael Nadal. The World No. 1 is on her way to emulate her idol’s clay court journey. However, with the big wins comes the big money. And every tennis fan’s eyes would be looking for the amount that the Pole would win if she claimed her 4th French Open!

The tournament has done parity when it comes to the prize money for the winner of both men’s and women’s categories at the French Open. Although being a finalist already, both Swiatek and Paolini have confirmed the huge amount of  €1,200,000. But the winner would claim big gains, not only in terms of creating history but also in terms of prize money.

If Iga Świątek wins the French Open, she will claim double the finalist’s amount. The winner would win  €2,400,000 ( €2.4Million) for their remarkable feat at the Major. These figures are more than what last year’s winners took home after the win. And  Swiatek would certainly know, as she has been winning this title for the last 2 years. So this increase would make the winner’s pocket a bit heavier than last year. And it’s not just the winners who would be taking back more Euros home. But the total prize money value at the French Open has increased to €53.5 Million, which is 7.8% more than last year. Though Paolini would have another chance to claim the winner’s amount at the women’s double!

Swiatek had a smooth sailing at the tournament barring her 2nd round with the former World N0.1 Naomi Osaka. And recently the veteran tennis legend had something to say about the same about that intensive game!

The 2nd round of the women’s French Open was more intensive than the whole tournament. It moved the Pole to tears, as she relaxed on getting through it and defeating Osaka. And according to Navratilova, it is post this round that Swiatek felt relaxed but sharp. She said,I think it gives you just second life really literally and you play a little more relaxed. I think the pressure’s off it’s like I survived that one I think, I can get through anything else and of course, I only had to play one more match for Iga it happened in the second round but it really set her up she looks so much more relaxed and sharp.”

Nobody could have it put it better than the veteran legend. When you escape the match point, you get relaxed and go for the win! This certainly did happen as the World No.1 taking home €2.4Million, 4 Roland Garros titles, and creating history!
