The tennis community will be treated to an exciting fourth-round encounter at the French Open. On the iconic court, Suzanne Lenglen, the 8th-seeded Tunisian player Ons Jabeur, will square off against the in-form Dane Clara Tauson for a place in the quarterfinal round.

Being a part of the current top 10 rankings on the women’s tour, Jabeur will be vying to become the first Arab and African to clinch a Grand Slam title. Tauson, on the other hand, has reached her first Grand Slam fourth round, and she now looks to book a place in the quarterfinals.

After a lackluster campaign at the Italian Open, the Tunisian player now looks to make amends at the French Open, where she is the 8th-seed participant. In her first two matches on the Parisian clay, Jabeur swept aside Sachia Vickery and Camila Osorio. She then went on to beat the 31st seed, Leylah Annie Fernandez, in straight sets, as she won with a score of 6-4, 7-6.

Clara Tauson, on the other hand, is coming to the tournament as an unseeded participant, and she defeated the German Tatjana Maria in the opener. The Danish player then pulled off a major upset against the 9th seed, Jeļena Ostapenko, before defeating another big gun, Sofia Kenin, in the third round.

The French Open clash between Ons Jabeur and Clara Tauson will also mark their first meeting on the WTA Tour. With no previous on-court meetings between Jabeur and Tauson, their H2H record is currently locked at 0-0.

Prediction: Jabeur to come out on top in this R4 in Paris

In her recent match on Parisian clay, the Tunisian looked quite impressive on the serves, with her winning percentage increasing from 65 to 91 on her second serve. Jabeur also hit three aces and zero doubles and converted 3 out of 7 breakpoints during her R3 against Annie Fernandez. If she plays the same way, the current number 9 player can also prevail in her R4 match against the Dane.

Tauson, on the other hand, has also been in stellar form, outclassing the 9th seed in the second round of the tournament. However, the unseeded Dane will find it quite challenging to overcome someone like Jabeur, who knows how to dictate the play from the back of the court.

Hence, Jabeur will most likely win in three sets against Tauson.
