Iga Swiatek’s sneaker partner brand ON has further added to her joy after her French Open victory. Swiatek, who is now a four-time French Open Champion, is over the moon after receiving a special tribute from her apparel partner, ON. Especially because it has a unique reference to her favorite TV show, F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Sharing her excitement, the 23-year-old player provided a glimpse of the shoe gifted to her.

Iga Swiatek last year admitted her admiration for her favorite TV show, F.R.I.E.N.D.S., saying, “I love the show.” Therefore, after the Polish tennis star won her fifth Grand Slam at the Roland Garros, her Swiss apparel partner ON customized a pair of shoes referring to her great win in Paris. Happy at this gesture, Iga Swiatek took to her Instagram story and posted a sneak peek of that show, captioned “Omg @on.” In the picture, the classic white sneaker can be seen.

However, there is a twist as it features the words, “the one where she wins her fifth Grand Slam,” on the side of the shoe. The reference is unmistakable for any F.R.I.E.N.D.S. fan! After all, it mirrors the iconic TV show’s episode titles, which begin with the iconic line “The one where….”

Iga Swiatek’s partnership with Roger Federer-endorsed brand ON is not new. It all began in March 2023, when tennis fans got the first glimpse of the Italian Open Champion’s new ON Running shoes. After switching from Asics kit to ON, the World No. 1 also became the first female tennis player to be a partner of the brand. 

Her goal was: “So with on we are basically doing the shoe that is going to be kind of perfect for my movements and my style of running.” However, right now, her excitement at wearing the shoe has further heightened. After all, Swiatek, who previously admitted that she cannot choose her favorite episode or character from the show as she loves them all, will now run with a shoe that has F.R.I.E.N.D.S. reference to it. Interestingly, this is not the first time that the tennis world has seen her love for the famous sitcom. Even before the tournament started, she shared a special moment with one of the characters of the show.

One week before the French Open started this season, Iga Swiatek engaged in a Q&A session on Instagram. She aimed to find a “friendly partner to play doubles with.” Surprisingly, her question on this subject led to a special partnership with Courtney Cox! Cox, who played the role of Monica Geller on the show, played tennis with her on the clay court in Paris. Naturally, it made for a special moment for Iga Swiatek, who later hugged the actor after hitting the racquets with her.

The idea of their meetup and playing tennis began when Courtney Cox once posted an Instagram video of playing tennis. The hilarious video captured Cox playing on-court, captioned, “Hold on…I wasn’t ready!”. However, Iga Swiatek commented on the post, saying, “If we’d play doubles together no one would have you.. just saying…”

The 23-year-old is now celebrating her joy after winning her third consecutive title at Roland Garros. However, the customized shoe of ON, with the reference to her favorite TV show, has further increased her mood for celebration for the one where she conquers the red clay!
