The WTA seems to have finally found its next generation of stars who are ready to take the world by storm. Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, and Elena Rybakina have taken the tennis world on a roll and are dominating like never before. With rivalries building and exciting encounters budding around, the action-packed madness is surely budding around.

While the world knows this, even these three stars know what they are up against this year. Speaking about the same in the post-match interview at the French Open, Iga Swiatek came ahead and voiced her opinion on who she thinks are the toughest opponents she has faced. While speaking highly of her rivals Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina, she snubbed Coco Gauff as she suggested that they are improving and performing consistently lately.

Adding to her statement, she further suggested that Ons Jabeur is yet another player who is a bit tricky to play considering her recent run of form.“Well, I think Elena and Aryna just because they are also consistent and they are improving kind of with me I feel. So, yeah, there are other players obviously doing that, but there is some rivalry between us, so yeah. I guess Ons it was always tricky. You had to really think on the court and adjust a bit more,” said Iga Swiatek in the post-match interview.

Thus, Iga Swiatek made her preference clear on who she thinks is her toughest opponent that she faced. But, she sided ways with Coco Gauff who has also been regarded as one of the upcoming sensations in tennis. While Coco is yet to find her form, she will have to bring back her glory days to stand a chance in the list. However, she is not alone who thinks that these stars are one of the hardest to beat on the court at the moment. Ukrainian tennis sensation, Marta Kostyuk, a few months back offered the same opinion.

After all, its not only Iga Swiatek herself who has faced trouble from Elena Rybakina and Aryna Sabalenka. Back at the San Diego Open earlier this year, Marta Kostyuk, in the post-match interview, suggested that these three stars are the toughest to beat this year.

“For me, it stays the same. Iga, Aryna, & Rybakina. I think they’re the most consistent anyways. Of course, everyone gets tired, it’s a very difficult calendar… especially this year with Olympics. But I think if they’re fresh, I think these 3… but they’re not fresh every week.. so that’s the key,” said Kostyuk in the interview.

Thus, Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, and Elena Rybakina are the top guns who have taken the WTA world by storm at the moment. While Coco Gauff is yet to bring her last year’s form back on the courts, her fans would be waiting to see her back at her best. What are your thoughts on this? Do let us know in the comments below!
