Venus Williams, the American tennis icon with an illustrious career spanning over two decades, experienced a disappointing start to her comeback when she lost her first match at the Libema Open 2023. Having been out of action for a few months due to injury, Williams was eager to re-establish her dominance on the court. However, her much-anticipated return was met with a surprising defeat at the hands of a teenage Switzerland tennis player Celine Naef.

Despite her defeat, Venus decided to make it up with some workout sessions and hit the gym. But unlike others, the 7-time Grand Slam champion decided to make her experience joyful and resorted to doing some funny stunts at the gym. Even though she lost her first comeback match, these workout sessions are proof that Venus is prepping herself right for making a mark in Wimbledon.

Williams, a five-time Wimbledon singles champion, had high hopes of making a strong statement in the grass-court season. This would have ideally led to a successful run at Wimbledon. Despite her extensive experience and impressive track record, the tennis star struggled to find her rhythm during the match. She ultimately succumbed to Celine’s aggressive playing style, who won the match.

Although the loss was undoubtedly disheartening, Venus decided not to sit and sulk. She chose to get up and work out so that she is well prepared in advance for Wimbledon. Venus shared a lot of stories on her Instagram account where she can be seen working out in the gym. But as unique as she is, her workout poses are no different.

She posted a series of cute and funny stunts that she was pulling at the gym in the Netherlands. Along with that, she added a caption, “Silly in the gym”. And then just after that, she can be seen doing a side plank where she is seriously training. She captioned it, “Ok back to work”. Venus has time and again proved how resilient she is and what wonders she can pull off on the court. Thus, her supporters have always backed the American tennis legend, even during the toughest periods.
