It is no secret that athletes make a lot of money while being at the top of their respective sports. Venus Williams is no stranger to being at the top of her field. And she has embraced all the opportunities that come with it. The 7-time Grand Slam champion has invested in quite a few ventures, and Virgin Voyages is one among many.

Billionaire Richard Branson recently had a great experience on the cruise line led by the Virgin Group. The Limitless Voyage on the ship named Scarlet Lady is a 5-night round trip that started and ended in Miami. This voyage was curated by none other than the pop singer Jennifer Lopez, who is the Chief Entertainment and Lifestyle Officer for Virgin Voyages.

For those unversed, Venus knew Branson from before 2010. In fact, Branson made a substantial contribution in her book, Come to Win. So, when the two old friends met recently, they couldn’t help but reminisce about their court-bound banter. He traveled back to the time when he and Maria Sharapova played against Venus and Serena Williams in a doubles match in Wimbledon. Here’s what he said.
