Tennis legend, Martina Navratilova, has been a strong critic of LIV Golf. Over the years, she has strongly voiced her opinions against the tournament for its strong links with Saudi-backed investors. A rival league to the PGA Tour, the new golf league has attracted many stars due to attractive payouts on offer. However, it hasn’t gone down well with Navratilova. Recently, she hit out at former POTUS, Donald Trump, referring to a certain golf-inspired dig.

The 67-year-old has often spoken on this matter on social media and criticized the likes of Greg Norman, who happens to be Chris Evert’s former husband and CEO of LIV Golf. Trump has also been a vocal supporter of the Saudi-backed league. As a result, he drew a dig from Navratilova as a shocking stat on him emerged.

Martina Navratilova takes a jibe at Donald Trump

The 18-time Grand Slam singles champion is very active on social media platforms like Twitter and often takes to these platforms to voice her opinions. On this occasion, she took to her official Twitter handle to comment about Trump and his connection to LIV Golf.

Recently, it came to light that Trump reportedly has an IQ of 73. An IQ of 73 is considered below the normal IQ range of 85-115. This report was shared on social media and went viral as soon as it was posted. Thousands of people reacted to it, some mocking Trump while some expressing shock at it.

It also caught the attention of tennis legend, Martina Navratilova. She reposted the report, saying, “Yup. His IQ would make a really good golf score, one he could only dream about.”

It is no surprise Navratilova is not the biggest fan of Trump and his policies. In fact, she once even harshly criticized him for the erosion of human rights.

When Navratilova called out Trump and his supporters

Back in 2018, the tennis legend opened up about how people reacted to her sexuality and how she was treated differently because of it. Talking about it, she slammed the then-President Donald Trump and his supporters for the erosion of human rights.

Navratilova said, “Well, the erosion of human rights around the world. There had been so much progress made but in America we are going backward. I just saw a sign that somebody posted on Twitter and it was from a hardware store. No gays allowed. On a hardware store. And that is all coming from the top, you know. That is all coming from Trump and his enablers.”

The 67-year-old tennis legend continues to be a strong critic of the Saudi-backed LIV Golf tournament. She continues to raise her voice against it, cautioning her fanbase about the ill effects of the new tournament – just like she has taken a strong stand for all other human rights issues.
