Lacoste recently took to Instagram to announce a new apparel collection in collaboration with Venus Williams. The brand’s latest commercial video sees Williams discussing the connection between life and sports.

“Life is sport and sport is life. It’s about experiences. Making the time for those you love. It’s about making my life bigger. Forge your own path and see where that takes you”, Says Venus Williams.

The French label’s objective is to combine fashion and active wear, and Williams is the face of the campaign.

Some interesting facts about Venus Williams

In 1994, the former world number one began her professional tennis career. However, the former World No.1 arrived in no time when she reached the US Open final on her maiden attempt in 1997.

Williams’ power and athleticism drew the attention of the general public to tennis by being a pioneer as an African-American tennis champion. She made history in 2002 when she became the first black tennis player to be named world No. 1.
