‘Flu Week Hit Us’ – Serena Williams’ Husband Alexis Ohanian Details Parenting Struggle as Five-Year-Old Olympia Gets Hit by a Gnarly Illness

The 23 times Grand Slam champion, Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, is an adoring father. He took complete responsibility for his daughter while his wife pursued her career. Further, he constantly provided support to Serena in her matches and was the biggest cheerleader in her final comeback earlier this year. 

Ohanian runs a business empire himself. However, nothing comes in the way when the matter at hand concerns his daughter. Recently, he struggled with the task of protecting Olympia from flu and revealed his peak parent behavior.

Alexis Ohanian is worried about the flu

Ohanian is very active on social media platforms, especially Twitter. He uses them as a channel for communicating his thoughts and connecting with people. The co-founder of Reddit, keeps fans updated about him, Serena and their five-year-old daughter. Therefore, on Thursday, after stumbling on a friend’s Tweet complaining about the flu season, he shared, “The Flu week hit us last week. Hard.”

Thereafter he added, “I don’t know how single parents do it.” Winter is at the doorstep and the biggest concern of parents at this time of the year is their children’s health. Many understood Ohanian’s situation and wrote messages such as “Sending healing energy.”

Further speaking of the 39-year-old’s parenting skills, he has always tried to be a part of Olympia’s activities. In fact, his efforts have helped him become her best friend. They have their father-daughter days in which they explore new things. Like, recently, Ohanian shared an array of pictures on Instagram flaunting their newly unlocked skills in rock painting. 

Ohanian and Olympia’s adventures in England

Ohanian and Olympia traveled alongside the seven-time Wimbledon champion to support her in her comeback. They cheered for Serena during her doubles run at the Eastbourne International and singles run in Wimbledon. Apart from that, in their spare time, they explored London.

The father-daughter duo first visited the golf course to test Olympia’s skills. Needless to say, she performed brilliantly. Thereafter, they went out for a classic English afternoon tea.

Surrounded by an assortment of tea, cakes, and condiments, they enjoyed a Bridgerton-themed tea party. Further, Williams also stepped out to make use of her location. She and Ohanian walked the red carpet during the premiere of the latest Marvel movie at the time, Thor movie Thor: Love and Thunder.
