Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian is currently in New York, as he is supporting his wife at the US Open 2022. Notably, Serena is playing her final Grand Slam tournament, as she will retire from professional tennis after this tournament. Hence, the crowd support she has been getting has been extraordinary.

Even Ohanian feels amazed by the amazing support, as he posted about it on social media. It is worth noting that Ohanian resides in Florida at the moment, but he praised the New York crowd for turning up in big numbers to support his wife and possibly one of the greatest tennis player of all time.

Before the start of the tournament, the ticket sales for day 1 and day 3 were phenomenal, which increased more after the draw came out. During Serena’s two matches, the crowd was literally cheering for every point, as Ohanian pointed out. Safe to say, the crowd will be with her till the end.

In the second round at the US Open, Serena had a tough battle against the world no.2, Anett Kontaveit. After 2 hours and 27 minutes, the 23-time Grand Slam champion beat the Estonian player 7-6,2-6,6-2.

Undoubtedly, this win will boost her confidence massively as she is getting more wins under her belt. In the first round, she destroyed Danka Kovinic in straights. Now, in the third round, she will face the Australian tennis player, Ajla Tomljanovic, which will be another tough match for the American.
