“There’s two humans now whose opinion I really care about and they’re my kids.” Alexis Ohanian, the husband of tennis legend Serena Williams, once shared these heartfelt words, and they continue to resonate deeply. Ohanian, the co-founder of Reddit, has always been more than just a tech mogul. He’s a dedicated father and an unwavering pillar of support for his family, and his latest remark is no exception.

Alexis Ohanian engaged in a conversation with Jose Andres, a restauranter and chef, as the two delved into several topics on the June 16 episode of Business Dad. As the two delved into their family planning and future course of action surrounding their families, Ohanian shared his delight and pride over his two daughters. 

Speaking in the podcast, Ohanian said, “As a fellow girl dad, you know, I don’t know if we’ll have more kids.” Williams and Ohanian welcomed their first daughter Olympia in 2017. Their second daughter Adira was born in 2023, after the tennis star hung up her racquets in 2022, to grow her family. Continuing further in the podcast, Ohanian reiterated his love for his daughters. 

“Maybe you know, God willing, but uh, with two daughters, I have my whole worldview turned upside down. And it was so eye-opening and I love it. They are such sweet, kind, wonderful creatures. I just love them.” This is not the first time when the Reddit Co-founder opened up about his daughters and expressed sentiments like this for them.

In an earlier post that Ohanian made on Twitter, now X, he asked a rhetorical question. “Do you know the ONE thing I keep hearing from the most successful CEOs?” Answering the same, he continued, “I wish I’d spent more time with my kids.” He later added the comfort that he gets around his kids. “That first hug from my girls after a work trip. Hug ’em tight! Keep ’em close esp [especially] those early years.”

He had once also revealed that “having children was one of the best things” he has ever done, “not just personally, but also professionally. Meanwhile, it is not just the businessman, who is discharging parental roles.

Olympia follows in the footsteps of her dad Alexis as she takes up responsible role at home

Alexis Ohanian and Serena Williams have ensured to give the best to their children and care for them as much as possible. But besides the couple, their elder daughter Olympia is also taking up more responsible roles at home, especially when it comes to her younger sister, Adira. 

During an interview and the candid walkthrough of current family dynamics, Alexis Ohanian revealed how Olympia has already started to like her little sister’s company. “She’s able to have a lot more fun with her sister in terms of playing. You can already see the interactions between them.” Continuing further, he discussed the ‘maternal spirit’ that Olympia is developing. “It’s a big age gap, and Olympia has a little bit of that maternal spirit. She’s like, ‘This is my baby,’ and it’s great to see them together.”
