Venus Williams may be off the court this year, but she continues to shine at various events. After taking a break due to a knee injury sustained last year at Wimbledon, the tennis star has been focused on her recovery. However, she has also been busy promoting brands and sharing motivational content on social media. Her name resonates with success in the tennis world with an impressive record of 49 WTA singles titles, 22 WTA doubles titles, and 7 Grand Slam singles titles. Lately, she has also made waves in the fashion industry.
On November 2nd, Venus wowed everyone at the Fashion Awards in London. She wore a stunning button-up one-piece with a plunging collar and cropped wide-leg pants, paired with black heels for a chic black-tie look. On Instagram, she expressed her excitement about the sparkling jewelry that completed her outfit, writing, “Feeling golden in these beautiful Pandora Lab-Grown Diamonds pieces. So excited to be part of The British Fashion Awards this year with @theofficialpandora 🤍 #BeLove.”

But this isn’t Venus’s first foray into fashion. In June, she shared her passion for style with Vogue, stating, “I’ve always had a love for fashion, and throughout my tennis career, that affinity grew even more.” She and her sister Serena Williams turned heads at the Gucci Spring 2025 menswear fashion show in Milan, where Venus rocked a white button-up shirt, white pencil skirt, and burgundy coat. Looking classy with her short sleek hair to complete the look.

She believes that looking good helps performance. When speaking with Vogue, she noted, “I truly believe that in order to perform your best, you need to feel your best.” Her on-court outfits have always been eye-catching too. From her black lace dress with bright red trim at the 2016 French Open to her Wonder Woman-inspired navy blue dress at the 2021 Miami Open—designed by her own brand ‘Eleven By Venus’. Since then she has consistently made a statement. While many associate Williams with her impressive tennis achievements, she is also carving out her own identity in the fashion world. Her journey goes beyond being a tennis icon.
Venus reveals that there’s more to her than meets the eye
In November, Cultured Magazine featured Venus Williams, where she spoke with the artist Titus Kaphar. While delving into who Venus is as a person, she spoke up about her multifaceted identity, discussing how people often perceive her as just a tennis player. “People are like, ‘Hey. It’s cool to see you, but you can’t possibly be able to do something else,’” she remarked. This perception can be limiting, and she emphasized the importance of pursuing one’s passions and breaking free from societal boxes. Although she grew up without much exposure to the arts, has developed a keen appreciation for design, evident in her fashion line.

Beyond her tennis accolades, Venus has ventured into production with Nine Two Six Productions, a company founded by Serena. Additonally, she also served as an executive producer for the film King Richard, which tells the story of their father. In the end, despite her fame and success, Venus remains humble and grounded. She reflects on her journey through recovery and the challenges of being a top athlete while continuing to make strides in the fashion industry.
With her passion for fashion and commitment to excellence, it’s clear that she will continue to inspire both on and off the court. Perhaps she’ll make a return to the court with more stylish ensembles in upcoming tournaments. What do you think? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
