Serena Williams‘ ‘joyeuses fêtes’ in Paris took a sweet turn! Currently vacationing in the City of Love, Williams has already turned some heads, courtesy of her date nights with her husband. While Williams and Alexis Ohanian were busy pampering themselves and their daughter on this vacation, the super mommy took charge of happiness a little more by visiting a place “that sells American stuff.” 

Serena Williams, quite active on social media, shared her recent visit to an American candy store in Paris on her Instagram story. Fans spotted her drooling over the amazing variety that the candy store offers. After all, if there’s one thing that adults enjoy just as much as kids, it’s candy. Filming the elaborate stock of candy at the store, the tennis legend said, “We are at a store that sells American stuff. Look at all this candy! I am not sure but these Twinkies-flavored popcorns, I have never seen that in the stores in the US, but okay! I haven’t seen that, Yum! Yum! Yum!”

While her husband shared glimpses of their enchanting date night, mommy Serena showed her fans her recent haul after their trip to the candy store. Considering she’s in Paris during the French Open, fans expected this three-time champion to visit Roland Garros to catch at least some of the action. However, Serena refuted the assumptions and simply chose to stick to spending time with her family during this vacation. And it all paid off.

As for their candy loot, the Williams-Ohanian family has always loved candies. Previously, Alexis Ohanian tweeted to thank NBA stars Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo for sending him a candy basket. Ohanian also shared a picture of it, where fans spotted little Olympia trying to grab a packet of Mario Haribo from the basket. “Candy Saturday got a major level up 🦾 thanks ⁦@Giannis_An34 @Thanasis_ante43 — I hope Olympia shares with me. She went right for the Mario Haribo,” tweeted Ohanian.

After that, this Reddit co-founder hilariously doubted that he might not get any candy because there was no way Olympia would be sharing it with her father. Ohanian also shared a clip on his Instagram story, trying to convince Olympia to give him some of the Mario Haribo gummies, to which the adorable bundle of joy affirmatively said “No.” Well, the love candy is just another thing the father-daughter duo can add to their list of shared interests.

Did you know Ohanian has always loved drawing? And he’s extremely good at it. Putting that talent to use, he restarted a tradition his father had when Ohanian was a kid – ‘Papa’s Pancakes.’ As part of the ritual, his father would make him pancakes every Sunday. Now, he’s doing the same with Olympia (and Adira, too!). But instead of regular pancakes, he makes delicious pancake art for his daughters, and watching him, Olympia started making her own designs, too!

Coming back to their Paris trip. Serena Williams’ candy store haul expresses that this superstar mommy gets just as excited about candy as her husband and Olympia. And on her trip to Paris, while she is giving Olympia all the attention she deserves, Williams is ensuring self-pampering, too. Thanks to Ohanian’s social media activeness, their fans are getting a glimpse into their escapades in the French capital. The Reddit co-founder shared a few pictures from one of their dates, featuring the food they ate as well as a selfie. He wrote, “Always a good night with @serenawilliams.”

Until their trip to Paris, who knew that the 23-time Grand Slam champion was such a big fan of candies? It sure gave her fans a look into an unknown side of her personality. It also represented the mutual love for candies that the Williams-Ohanian family seems to have!
