Despite all the series of setbacks over the last couple of years, Raducanu has been in the limelight for her frequent overhaul of coaches. Recently, Serena Williams‘ former coach gave a cryptic answer when asked if he’d accept a role in her team.

Five coaches in Five years. Emma Raducanu became a professional tennis player in 2018 and her triumph at the US Open in 2021 unveiled her to the biggest stage. She became the first British woman to win a major singles title in 44 years. However, her injuries and coaching instability proved a major cause of her downfall. The 53-year-old Frenchman, Patrick Mouratoglou is well known for his 10-year stint with Serena Williams. Recently he gave an interview to Skysports where he spoke about the recent developments surrounding the former no.10. A Few months back Emma Raducanu parted ways with her fifth coach, Sebastian Sachs. Although Raducanu failed to find consistency over the past few months, there has been a constant come-and-go in her coaching team.

So, when asked if he’d want to give a try at Raducanu’s team, Serena Williams’ former coach said- “I don’t know, I haven’t thought about it but all I can say is- Is she ready to trust someone? Can she trust a project and follow that project for long enough to be able to make real progress that she needs to do to achieve her potential? What hurt her so much was all those changes. Because you cannot change your tennis project every three months, it doesn’t make sense.

Raducanu missed most of this season due to injuries and had undergone wrist and ankle surgeries in May. The road has undoubtedly been tougher for this youngster. But being featured in the Top 10 truly reflects her potential. Can she make a comeback next year?

Emma Raducanu eyes a comeback in 2024

Just after a few days of getting heavily criticized for her frequent changes in the coaching staff, Raducanu came up with a cryptic post on social media. She posted a video of two pinballs traveling at different speeds, where one ball can be seen overtaking the other despite taking a bouncier course. Will Raducanu also surpass all the hurdles and give a good start to the 2024 campaign?

Well, she is leaving no stone unturned. She recently updated her fans with her progress by posting a picture showing her intense training sessions. Raducanu was seen doing cardio exercises in an airtight enclosure. She also displayed blisters on her palms due to the rigorous workout sessions.

The Brit is now set to take part in the ASB Classic which is scheduled from January 1 to January 7 in Auckland, Newland. Fans are eager to see her back in action. Can she make a comeback to the Top 10 soon?
