In a rare turn of events, recently, the staff and students at Michigan State University have suffered an incomprehensible trauma. The peaceful Monday night suddenly turned into a bloodbath, when thousands of lives were put at risk by a shooter. Consequently, resulting in the loss of life of 3 and left several injured.
Post the horrifying incidents, the state tennis player, Nicole Conard, recounted the heart-breaking scenario.
Cornard, a student of master’s in criminal justice, graduated from Dartmouth College. However, the trying Covid-19 times culminated in canceling of 2 Athletics seasons. And consequently, two years of eligibility post the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions, Cornard found herself at MSU for further studies. And also an unforgettable horror.

Nicole Conard details the events of the scary fateful night
On Monday night, a shooter opened fire at the MSU campus. And instantaneously, the campus frantically went into shutdown. As people on campus feared for their lives. And the tennis player, scared of her wits, barricaded her front door to restrict the entry of any unwanted person before moving into a more secure place in her apartment with the lights out.
Cornard later narrated her petrifying memory to NBC sports. She recounted, reporting any noise that was heard. Moreover, in her panicky state, she felt that there were multiple shooters and many more victims of this heinous crime.
The tennis player’s apartment was not far away from the location where the shooting took place. And hence, it was obvious to feel scared and unsafe, with an unlocated shooter out there; on the loose. And she further added, “He was on foot … I don’t think anyone was really safe at that point,”

Moreover, the prospect of the killer still not being caught by the authorities terrified the people in the campus. And they felt frustrated as well.
As Cornard further added, “We were really frustrated that they couldn’t catch him for almost four hours … Everyone was literally shaking and crying.”
Michigan State University has produced many talented athletes, including NBA talents. Everyone, from Draymond Green to Magic Johnson is devastated by the gut wrenching Gun Violence; that has claimed the lives of 3 people and injured another 5. In addition to giving lifelong mental trauma to the students and staff of the university.
