Daria Kasatkina, the Russian tennis ace, was born into a family with two nationally ranked athletes, her parents. Therefore, she started training at a very young age and turned pro in the year 2014. Thereafter, within four years of her debut, she rose through WTA’s elite list. The Russian secured a career highest ranking of World No. 10 in 2018.

She recently took down a fellow Russian player, Veronika Kudermetova, in straight sets at the French Open quarterfinals. Following that, during the post-match press conference, she spoke about the Netflix series ‘Drive to Survive’.

The Russian tennis ace loves the Netflix series ‘Drive to Survive’, which is based on Formula 1. Therefore, the media was bound to ask her about her driving skills. To which she replied, “Well, I have no driver’s license, so I don’t think I would be a good driver. And I’m not this kind of person who likes these fast, dangerous things. So that’s not my thing for sure.”
Thereafter she added, “But to watch, I like it. I mean, considering the Netflix stuff, Drive to Survive, I’m enjoying like how they opening the personalities of each driver. It’s so interesting to see the thoughts, like how they practice, how they’re thinking.”

Further, the 25-year-old also showed interest in Netflix’s upcoming tennis documentary. As she said, “Talking about tennis part of Netflix, let’s see, but for sure they know how to do their job. I saw sometimes, you know, how they’re filming and stuff, so I think it’s going to be interesting.”
Who stands between Kasatkina and thd final of the French Open?
The Russian will soon meet the current World No.1 Iga Swiatek in the semifinals of the French Open. Apart from the 19-year-old Chinese tennis ace Zheng Qinwen, the 2020 French Open Champion, took down each of her opponents in straight sets. Further, Kasatkina has locked horns with the Pole four times earlier and is trailing by a score of 1-3. Though this will be their first encounter on clay.
