Recently, she had another such moment at the grass-court Grand Slam tournament.

The incident occurred after the former Wimbledon finalist’s easy second-round win over the Chinese opponent, Zhuoxuan Bai. As Jabeur entered the room for her post-match press conference, she was greeted by empty seats. However, the Tunisian made a light-hearted atmosphere out of the unfavorable moment, showing her witty best.

The video of Jabeur’s post-match press conference after her second-round win at Wimbledon quickly went viral all over the internet. As the host welcomed her at the presser, Jabeur was surprised to see an empty room. Further, she asked, “Is no one coming? I’ve been announced?” The Tunisian brought a smile to her face as she took the situation in her stride.

Responding to Jabeur’s question, the host said that she’ll ask the questions first. However, Jabeur said that there was no one and that she could wait till everyone comes in. In the meantime, the two-time Grand Slam finalist made the environment hilarious by asking the host to take her seat because the room would be full in no time. Talking about this, she said, “Be careful, there’s a lot of people. If you can find a seat… They have good snacks inside, maybe? Better than here. Oh, they went to The Weekend. Everybody went to The Weekend.”

Jabeur’s ‘parachute’ remark

Prior to her 2022 Italian Open final match against World Number 1, Iga Swiatek, the Tunisian made a funny statement that took over the headlines. While Jabeur was on an 11-match winning streak, Swiatek was on a 27-match winning run. Commenting on this, Jabeur said, “So tomorrow the plane will crash and there is only one parachute. I hope I take it (laughter). “I’m the co-pilot, though. There is no priority there.”

Jabeur’s winning run was eventually broken by Swiatek as the latter defeated the Tunisian in straight sets 6-2, 6-2. The World Number 6 would be looking to get the better of Swiatek at the ongoing Wimbledon Championships. The two are placed in the opposite half of the draw and could potentially meet in a mouth-watering Wimbledon final.
