Rennae Stubbs is a tennis legend in her own right. Having been a crucial part of Serena Williams’ success, the tennis world eagerly listens to anything she says, be it criticism or something wholesome. In the Australian Open documentary, it was the latter. She discussed the moment she won her first grand slam – the 2000 Australian Open, along with doubles partner Lisa Raymond. As she shared the video of her and Raymond winning the match point, she also penned a heartfelt note.

In the post, she wrote, “What an honor to be included in the making of this documentary about the history of the @australianopen … it’s in cinemas now in Australia. Please go see it. For @lisamraymond and myself it was a moment we will never forget and I’m so grateful to have achieved it with her and in front of so many friends and family. At the end of my speech that was not in this clip, i said, “i want to thank my partner, this is the greatest day of my life”.”

And in my career. It was. Thank you to the makers of the film and to Lisa, for helping me and us always have this moment and memory. Btw the dive was in match point 😂“.
