Emma Raducanu will end her 2021 with a blaze by achieving yet another milestone. In the New Year Honours list, the 19-year-old is likely to become the youngest recipient of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE).
The Queen will be the one to present the prize. She was named BBC Sports Personality of the Year just over a week ago. Raducanu gained prominence after winning her first Grand Slam championship at the US Open in 2021, going through the qualifying rounds with aplomb.

Emma Raducanu of Britain did the implausible at the US Open 2021. An 18-years-old cruising into the finals at the Flushing Meadows and winning at her second Grand Slam appearance was truly remarkable. Soon after her heroics, she received many prestigious honors.
Well now, Raducanu is set to become the youngest MBE recipient in the upcoming New Year Honours list. The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire is a chivalric order based in the United Kingdom that recognizes contributions across different fields.
Along with Emma, England Football National team will also receive this honor. The team astonishingly reached the finals of the Euro Cup 2020, however, couldn’t get past Italy in the final match.

About a week ago, the US Open champ was awarded as the BBC Sports Personality of the Year. Moreover, notable personalities across the world including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge sent their warm congratulations.
The year 2021 was full of surprises for the 19-years-old. Entering the US Open with a ranking of 150th in the world and grabbing the cup at New York was the highlight of the year. En route to her victory, she defeated some finest players on the WTA circuit.
