Emma Raducanu bags ESPY award for best women athlete in tennis
ESPN recently announced ESPY awards which are given to commend an individual athlete or player’s performance in the preceding year. Emma Raducanu bagged the award for her astounding performance last year when she bagged her first grand slam title at the US Open.

For this award, the incumbent world no. 1 Iga Swiatek and former world no. 1 Ashleigh Barty were also nominated. However, Raducanu’s rise to the top last year was astounding.

Raducanu could not do well on her home turf at Wimbledon. The British player fared well in the first round, however, she could not do well in the second round and had to bid it farewell.
