Elina Svitolina suffered a shocking defeat at the hands of Camila Osorio in the first round of the Tenerife Ladies Open 2021. Even though the Ukrainian player won the first set, Osorio made a beautiful comeback and defeated her in three sets. The final scoreline of the match was 5-7, 6-3, 6-2.
Although Elina Svitolina bagged the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, it hasn’t been a great season for her. Thus, she took quite a bold step recently.

Elina Svitolina parts ways with her coach Andrew Beetles
Svitolina announced a shocking and unfortunate news on her Twitter handle today. She decided to part ways with her coach and mentor, Andrew Beetles, after spending five years with him. In the tweet, she highlighted that it is the right time for both of them to move their separate ways.

Beetles started as an assistant coach for Svitolina and then got promoted to her head coach in 2017. Intriguingly, they won 11 WTA titles together.

In the tweet, Svitolina also emphasized that she is really grateful for Beetles’ hard work and support. She also wished him all the best for his future and even posted a picture of her along with the British man.
