The current US Open champion is going through a rough patch of form. Recently, she crashed out of the ongoing Wimbledon Championships after a straight-set loss to Caroline Garcia in the second round.
While the Briton was hopeful of doing well in home conditions, former tennis star Martina Navratilova had predicted earlier that she won’t last too long in the tournament.
Martina Navratilova on Emma Raducanu
Earlier in an interview with Piers Morgan Martina Navratilova gave her prediction on Emma Raducanu. When asked if she can win the Wimbledon Championships this year, she said,
“I don?t think Emma will win Wimbledon this time around, but certainly has the potential to win it one day. I don?t think she is fit enough. Her forehand looks a bit dodgy. She?s not hitting through the ball.”
Further, the nine-time Wimbledon champion said that the reason for her inconsistent performance is because of her frequent coaching changes.

“I think the first mistake was letting go of the coach that got her to that US Open title and maybe they should have stuck with that guy because he did a great job. Since then I am not sure there have been a lot of changes and I think you can get too much information and then you don?t know which way to go because you?re getting so many different viewpoints. So you need to kind of stick with somebody to see if it works first,” she added.

It certainly is up to a player to decide what’s right for her but her dipping performance is definitely a sign of worry.
