‘Don’t See Anybody Knocking Her Off’- Martina Navratilova’s Giant 2023 Claim on ‘Consistent’ $10 Million Prize Money Leader

The Polish tennis star, Iga Świątek has put on some brilliant and dominating displays this season in order to reach the number 1 spot in the WTA rankings. As a result, the tennis community has been hugely impressed by Świątek and her incredible performances. The world’s No. 1 tennis player’s sheer brilliance on the tour has pleased even the Czech–American tennis legend, Martina Navratilova.

Navratilova further lavished praise on Świątek who outclassed some of the best players on the WTA tour this season. The 18-time singles Grand Slam champion also asserted that Świątek is going to defend her legacy as the number 1 ranked player next season on the tour.

Martina Navratilova praised Iga Świątek’s consistency on the WTA tour

The Czech–American tennis legend was recently featured in an interview with the WTA where she talked about Iga Świątek’s season. Martina Navratilova stated that she believes that the Polish tennis player will continue to defend her number 1 spot because of her consistency on the tour.

The 18-time singles Grand Slam champion said, “I don’t see anybody knocking her off – because she’s so consistent. She wins majors – and she’s consistent. Usually, it’s one or the other.”

Świątek dominated and outclassed some of the best players on the WTA tour in order to clinch the French Open title. Later on, she put on some incredible displays to win another Grand Slam title, the US Open during the hard-court season.

Navratilova was hugely impressed with Świątek’s incredible achievements during the season. She further praised her by saying, “This past year, she made more forays to the net, and it made a big difference,”.

Navratilova named other WTA players who could follow Świątek

Martina Navratilova believes some of the other WTA players have begun to follow the Polish tennis star. Notably, Navratilova suggested the names of the Greek tennis player, Maria Sakkari and the Czech tennis player, Barbora Krejčíková.

Navratilova also named the Tunisian tennis player, Ons Jabeur, who has the potential to disrupt Swiatek’s dominance on the tour. She believes that Jabeur needs to “find a bigger weapon” in order to reach the top spot of the WTA rankings.
