Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka currently finds herself on a new journey as a mother along with dividing her attention to make a safe return to the courts. With the birth of her daughter Shai, she recently revealed the challenges and the excitement behind balancing her roles as a businesswoman, athlete, and now, a mother.

In a recent interview, Osaka talked about the quick shift in priorities she had to make after becoming a parent. “Adding ‘mother’ to my resume has led to my time being stretched even thinner,” she mentioned. “I don’t have the luxury of it, so I am very intentional and focused on any given task as I know that my time is very valuable.”

Despite the multiple demands of her varied life, Osaka still manages to keep an urge to enjoy every moment. “In 2024, I really want to prioritize just appreciating every moment,” she shared. “It’s easy to go through the motions and not enjoy the ride, but I am making it a point to be present and appreciate all of the moments, no matter how big or small,” she added. As the tennis star continues on her journey, it still remains to be seen how long it takes for her to cope with the stress.

Osaka remains stagnant in a different domain besides tennis

Besides mentioning the shift in priorities that she had to incur, Naomi Osaka also revealed that she wishes to continue her journey of collaboration in the creative world. The WTA, who already has a lot on her plate, said that being creative is something that makes her happy.

“I’ve always enjoyed fashion collaborations where I’m able to be very hands-on, so I’d like to continue to venture into those going forward,” she said. As the tennis star continues her attempts to be stable in various fields, the fans now wait to see if she will be able to make it quick.
