Though there is something missing. It’s her luggage, which Air France misplaced about a day ago. Hence, an irked Bencic tweeted, “Hi Air France more than 24h later after you lost my luggage. I’m desperately trying every way of contacting Air France, with no success.”

“I’m leaving for my next tournament tomorrow. So it would be great if I could at least get some info about my bag,” she added. Following that, a few hours later, the former World No.4 again took to Twitter with her matter still standing unresolved. She wrote, “I’m not a celebrity and I would normally never write something like this on Twitter. But after hours on the phone waiting line, countless emails and online chats with robots, I don’t have any other idea anymore.”

Further, Bencic outclassed her opponents in straight sets in the first two rounds of the French Open. She got the better of Hungarian Reka Jani in straight sets of 6-1 6-1 and thrashed the 2019 US Open champion, Bianca Andreescu, 6-2, 6-4.

However, she eventually failed to beat the 19-year-old Canadian tennis ace, Leylah Annie Fernandez. Though the 25-year-old gave a tough fight, she lost the last two sets and the position in the last 16 with it.
