Miami Open 2024 winner Danielle Collins encountered a heartbreak in France. Despite rocking Charleston Open’s clay court, this world’s number 12 failed miserably against her old pal Madison Keys in Strasbourg. While she lost against her on a saddening note, Collins managed to cheer herself up channeling her natural dog mom personality. She recently shared snippets from her train journey from Strasbourg to Paris on her Instagram story. This dog mom of four met another furry baby on her train journey and befriended him leaving fans with a huge “awww”.

In Collins’s first picture, she was spotted with the dog lying in her lap as if they had known each other for long. “He layed like this in my lap the entire time”- captioned Collins on the image. In her next story, she was again spotted sitting on her seat and holding the dog in her arms- “making friends on train” she wrote.

Collins lost to Madison Keys in their all-American WTA Strasbourg finals by 6-1 and 6-2. This 30-year-old Miami Open winner secured just 48.7% first-serve points, whereas her opponent Keys earned 67.9% first-serve points. Collins’s loss was surely massive against her friend at the clay court of Strasbourg. Given it is Collins’s last year before retirement, each tour truly leaves a mark on her life. However, the presence of a doggy on her train back to Paris surely helped her to reconnect with her mind before the second Grand Slam event of the year.

For Danielle Collins fans, her love for dogs is not unknown. This world’s number 12 has four dogs, Scout, Lola (Apple Pie), Harper, and Quincy. However, among these four, Quincy is the only one to make a public appearance after his momma’s Miami Open victory. In fact, Quincy also stays with COllins, whereas her three other dogs are taken care of by her parents. Nevertheless, by sharing Quincy’s importance in this American WTA star’s life, she has proven her love for dogs. “Yeah, I have one dog, and my parents have three dogs. They are so fun to be around. When I travel, we have to be away from each other for so long. My dog is Quincy and is a mix “- she said in a press conference after the Miami Open tour.

Collins also shared her immense love for her doggy son Quincy with an adorable comment. Revealing what she calls her adorable furry friend, Collins said- “Quincy is the classic Velcro dog: if she sees me a meter away, she can’t stand it and comes back close to me. He is adorable. He is a sophisticated gentleman, I call him Mr. Q. He is a little spoiled, but with a great personality.”

This American WTA player’s comment is enough for her fans to understand how much she pampers her dog. She mentioned how she treats Quincy as her child and tries to give him a comfortable life. “For me he is a kind of child and he lives a very spoiled life. I like to cook, so Quincy can enjoy some truly fabulous meals”- she said further.

Danielle Collins might lose her Strasbourg title to her old friend, however, she seemed to recover from that loss by meeting an adorable friend on her train journey. While the scene delighted Collins’s fans, the Miami Open winner revealed a surprising fact after losing against her friend Madison Keys in Strasbourg.
