Despite being the greatest amongst the greatest, Serena Williams considers Olympia as her biggest achievement. She dotes on her with love and affection. So, when her former coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, suggested she should stop breastfeeding, the player could not hide her discontent and spoke against the matter.

One of the biggest reasons behind Serena Williams’ retirement is that she wants to spend more time with her daughter. Even though she has never missed out on an opportunity to be with her, Williams wants her presence more in Olympia’s life.
Serena Williams once took a dig at former coach Patrick Mouratoglou over Olympia
The 23-time grand slam champion gave birth to her beloved daughter in 2017. She nursed her for eight months and this could have hindered her comeback. However, she was fixed on that matter. So, when her former coach Patrick Mouratoglou told her to stop breastfeeding Olympia completely, initially, Williams did not feel great.

She said, “It’s absolutely hard to take from a guy.” Williams was irked by the fact he could not understand her stance. She said, “He’s not a woman, he doesn’t understand that connection, that the best time of the day for me was when I tried to feed her.”

Furthermore, she said, “I’ve spent my whole life making everyone happy, just servicing it seems like everyone. And this is something I wanted to do.” However, she eventually stopped nursing after 11 months on the recommendation of her coach.
Williams’ bond with daughter Olympia
Both Serena Williams and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, are full of love and care for their daughter, Olympia. Ohanian has introduced Olympia to new things like British tea culture and hiking. On the other hand, Serena Williams makes sure to inculcate essential life values along with having fun with her.
