It also enabled her to qualify for the French Open, where she reached the third round of the tournament, having just turned 16. Notably, the Russian Tennis Federation believes that the 16-year-old possesses the mentality and skills necessary to succeed in such a highly competitive sport. In an interview with TASS, as reported by express.co.uk, Tarpishchev said, “Andreeva plays well. She is 16 years old, and it is clear that a stable psyche. She doesn’t give a d*mn about who talks and writes about her and against whom to play.”
The WTA player has undoubtedly attracted a lot of praise for her remarkable run at the grass-court major event in London where she has also pulled off a unique feat in the tennis circuit.

There aren’t many WTA players in the history of the prestigious Grand Slam event who have qualified for the main draw at such a tender age. This year, it was the Russian tennis prodigy who fended off challenges while outshining many top competitors in the qualifying rounds of the British Slam.
She eventually succeeded in marking her participation, becoming the youngest player to qualify for Wimbledon’s main draw since the American tennis prodigy, Coco Gauff.
