Coco Gauff might be a star for others but what about her two younger brothers? This reigning US Open champion recently entered the Paris semifinals but still her siblings “haven’t spoken to” her. While for Coco her brothers are a “typical teenager” and a “kid,” her revelations explained that she faced the same problem as an elder sister.
In a recent Roland Garros press conference, US Open Champion spoke about the interesting dynamics with her two brothers Codey and Cameron Gauff. Speaking about her teenage brother Codey, Coco showcased a true elder sister vibe to her fans. Gauff said, “Yeah he’s 16 years old and he doesn’t answer the phone ever. I haven’t spoken to him on the phone probably in like two or three weeks because he just he’s doing his thing or he’ll text me after a match and he’ll literally say good win jit and jit is like a slang in Florida that I don’t even know what it means how to explain it but he that’s literally the last like four or five texts from him.” While it represented Codey’s teenage phase to the public, Gauff’s revelation also showed the interesting dynamic between the brother-sister duo.
Earlier, Gauff had revealed something similar about Codey in an interview with the tennis channel. “It is tough keeping in touch, especially with my brothers in general. Codey is 16. Sometimes he has a sister; sometimes he doesn’t. Like, depends on when he wants me to exist because he’s in his cool phase right now,” she said.

On the other hand, Gauff’s statement about her youngest brother Cameron Gauff seemed too adorable for fans. Mentioning his love for esports, Gauff represented how she handles her role as the elder sister to Cameron. “Cameron he’s the youngest and he’ll call. I think I tried to call him yesterday but he was on playing fortnite and so we talked and then he kind of just wasn’t talking for like five or 10 minutes he was like I think I’ll call you tomorrow because he was busy playing fortnite with his friend.”
However, that didn’t bother his elder sister much as she had some other plans for her baby brother. “He has not called me today yet and tomorrow’s his birthday so I’m going to wish him happy birthday and I have some gifts coming for him tomorrow. Yeah that’s kind of our dynamic and Codey typical teenager and Cameron just being you know a kid that loves fortnite,” said Gauff.
Fans who admire this reigning US Open champion surely know her love and attachment to her brothers. Previously, Gauff expressed her sentiments by revealing that she would roast Codey for leaving her messages without a response. Gauff delved deeper and confirmed that her brothers are really important to her. “Those relationships are incredibly important to me, especially, you know, traveling a lot, being by yourself a lot.”
Gauff further spoke about how her love for her brothers let him play with all of her strength.”I think when I remind myself about those relationships I’m able to just play freer and know that I have people love me regardless of how I do”- she said.

“When I played her in Cincinnati, I didn’t go into the match thinking: ‘Oh, I’ve never beaten her before, never taken a set off of her.’ So I can’t think of past players. Potapova isn’t me. I’m not Vondrousova. It doesn’t mean anything. Maybe I could lose with the same score, maybe not, but I’m just going to go in and try to win. I have nothing to lose. All the pressure is on her, so yeah”- she said.
Nevertheless, Coco Gauff’s revelation tells the story of an amazing family who strive for each other. It also shows how supportive siblings help each other to grow in their lives.
