The duo was introduced to each other by Bethanie Mattek-Sands. Jacobs always admired Collins’s indomitable spirit on the court. He also dropped his valuable insights to the American WTA star after her matches. Jacobs helped Mattek-Sands at the US Open Mixed Doubles in 2019 and the Beijing Open Doubles title in 2019. This forty-nine-year-old coach is a University of Pennsylvania graduate and the senior national team member for the United States thrice.
