Anett Kontaveit of Estonia has been recording some outstanding performances for the last couple of years on the WTA tour. The Estonian turned pro in the year 2010. As of October 2021, she has triumphed over five WTA titles, with some notable top 10 wins.

Anett is also the first Estonian player to break into the Top-10 of the WTA rankings. However, not much is known about Anett’s personal life.

Is Anett Kontaveit dating anyone?

Anett Kontaveit is a professional tennis player from Estonia. At just an age of 15, Kontaveit made her first professional appearance. In one of her first professional appearances, she faced the Spaniard Carla Suarez Navarro, who was diagnosed with cancer in 2020.

Talking about her relationships, Anett Kontaveit is not dating anyone. The Estonian has never posted about a romantic interest on social media, or mentioned in press interactions.

Kontaveit does, however, frequently post adorable pictures with her dog. Kontaveit resides in her homeland, Estonia, in the Northern city of Viimsi.

Kontaveit is a fearless baseline player who employs a range of strokes to compel opponents to attempt uncomfortable returns. Kontaveit often accumulates a considerable amount of both winners and unforced errors as a result of her aggressive playing style. Her forehand and double-handed backhand are both shot flat, with consistent depth and strength, allowing her to control the rally from the first stroke.

Kontaveit’s early life and tennis career

Anett Kontaveit was born in Tallinn, Estonia, in 1995. Her mother introduced her to tennis when she was six years old, and she coached her until she was eleven years old. She attended Puunsi School in 2004 and was an enthusiastic student who played tennis and participated in practice and folk dance. Later, she travelled to Istanbul to improve her tennis skills. At KozaWOS Academy, she resumed her training with an Australian instructor, Paul McNamee.

She competed on the junior tour in 2011. Kontaveit beat Danka Kovinic and 2021 Wimbledon winner, Ashleigh Barty, but she was defeated by Irina Khromacheva. Subsequently, the Estonian overcame Zuzana Luknarova in the finals of the Tallinn Open to win her maiden ITF championship.

Anett also competed in the Savitaipale Open, Tampere Open, Stockholm Open, and a number of other tournaments. She even reached her career high ratings of World No. 9 in junior tennis. She also won the European Junior Doubles Championship for Under 16s.
