Karolina Muchova has a thing for making it big in the tennis circuit. Though sustainability certainly raises a question mark for the Czech player. But she had claimed some big exploits on the circuit back in 2023 by defeating Aryna Sabalenka at the French Open 2023, to make it to the semifinals. But this isn’t the only thing that made noise when it comes to Czech tennis players. Another name that has been around since 2018, the time she defeated Garbina Muguruza at the US Open, is Rebel Wilson!
It all started at the 2018, US Open, when the two-time major champion, Muguruza, was handed a defeat by an unlikely opponent, Muchova. Not only did she steal the match, but also somewhere striker a chord with the actress Wilson, who’s currently engaged to fashion designer Ramona Agruma. And what followed was an unconventional friendship between the two stars; one from the court other from light! And when the calendars turned to the US Open 2019, the two had formed a deep bond. Muchova opened up at the hard court major. She had said, “You know, she texted me last year at the US Open. She likes tennis. We’re friends. She’s super nice. Yeah, it’s crazy.”
But was it just friendship between the two? Or something more came out of it? After the covid 19 was over, Wilson was seen again in Muchova’s box celebrating her big win against Ash Barty at the Australian Open 2021. It’s a big thing as Wilson herself is an Aussie, but she was more than happy for her good friend. Wilson even shared an Instagram story captioned, “Obviously Ash is an Aussie legend and we’re all rooting for her… but also very proud of my friend @karolinamuchova.” Though this just highlights one side of the story, that is Muchova’s story!

But let’s travel to Wilson’s heart through her memoir, “Rebel Rising: A Memoir” The consistent presence and support led people to question the bond between the two. But the two stars have maintained silence on their relationship, except some coveted hints. Particularly the comedian and actress, Wilson who mentioned being in a “situation-ship” with a female tennis player in her memoir.

What does Rebel Wilson have to say about situation-ship with a female tennis player? Was it Karolina Muchova?
While Muchova has left things for the public with a good bond and friends, if things are connected with Wilson’s words in her memoir, they might be hinting at more than just a friendship with the Czech tennis player. Nonetheless, let’s see how a tennis player helped Wilson crack open her heart so that love could enter.
Wilson’s words were quoted in PEOPLE elaborating on their deep bond. For which she was ready to leave her career and travel in the tennis circuit. She said, “And then, here was somebody where [I] felt so invested in and even thought at one point. ‘Oh, I could give up my career for this person, travel around the world on the tennis circuit’.”

Wilson described this moment as “cracking open my heart.” She even used a tennis analogy to explain her deep understanding, “Like you could open a fresh can of tennis balls…that’s what it did to me. And, I guess, when I saw people write love songs or poetry about love, I was like, ‘Oh, that’s nice’. But I don’t think I’d ever understood that until I felt that for a person.” Such deep words from the actress could melt anyone’s heart. Though she refused to name the player, when the two versions are taken into account, it seems that Muchova might have been the one.
However, whoever Wilson felt such deep feelings, is certainly a lucky person. And while people read the memoir, Muchova makes her way through the tournament after suffering a wrist injury and even predicting the end of her career. A gritty tale of love and tennis!
