Serena Williams‘ husband has a secret weapon to tackle his wife! He balances his obligations to his family with his work as a businessman. Ohanian recently opened out on the dynamics in his family, saying that sometimes they talk about asking his daughter Olympia for advice—even when it goes against what his wife thinks.

Recently, on his own podcast show, Business Dad, he opened up about how there are a lot of things that his wife hates that he puts out as a family. And among them is calling their family a’startup.’ He stated, “I think my wife hates is when I call our family, my Ultimate Startup. But apparently, it’s not a very romantic thing to write on an anniversary card. Who knew? I’m not a romantic guy. But I actually I really liked this as a concept.” 

Not only that, he also emphasized the fact that they can create a draft surrounding a lot of different things concerning his family, including everyone’s opinion in it. In addition, he emphasized the fact that his younger daughter is not quite helpful when it comes to opinions, but at the same time, he is looking forward to taking opinions from his 6-year-old in any and all family decisions.

Further, he also added, “And I would totally, totally draft a version for our family, based on the same idea of yeah, let’s talk about the things that matter us. Obviously, you start this conversation with Serena and I, my four-month-old’s opinion is not very helpful right now. But I’d want to solicit from our six-year-old Yeah, and actually start to have this as a living doc to think through what are the things that we actually, I love that.” 

Subsequently, even when the 41-year-old American entrepreneur became a father for the first time, he took to his Instagram account to talk about the greatness of the new role. And that time, he shared a picture of baby Olympia and talked about becoming a father from a similar business perspective as a new venture.

He captioned the picture and wrote, “Entrepreneurship is all-consuming, it’s sleepless, we call our startups our “babies,” we are ridiculously proud of them, and we pour all of ourselves into them — but she is already all that and more, she is my legacy.” Furthermore, in the same conversation, he also opened up about another incident in which he failed to impress his wife with his specific child growth theory.

Serena Williams doesn’t like Ohanian’s ‘Pokemon’ child growth analogy 

Ohanian recently opened up about his views on kid growth, comparing them to the evolution of Pokémon, much to his wife’s dismay. He explained how kids change right in front of your eyes, just like how a Pokémon grows from tiny to larger forms.

He said, “My wife hates it when I describe our daughters as Pokemon. But it is they, they evolve before your eyes into totally different creatures than they were before.” The 23-time Grand Slam champion, on the other hand, voiced her distaste for the analogy, making it clear that she found it offensive. Even though both of them share a different opinion, the 41-year-old American has a new concept in his mind to deal with his wife’s disapproval by bringing his daughter into the picture.
