Aussie fans, it’s time for you to fasten your seatbelts as the 22-year-old tennis state, Olivia Gadecki will be in action in just a few moments from now. She’s all set to make her debut at the Rod Laver Arena. Gadecki will face Russia’s Veronika Kudermetova in the first round of the 2025 AO. Just a few hours ago, Gadecki showcased her excitement for this mega event by uploading a post on IG. She captioned that post with, “Final prep. See you tomorrow Rod Laver Arena.” What a moment it’ll be for her all her fans and her family! She believes all these things wouldn’t have been possible without the support of her family.

Olivia Gadecki was born and raised by her mother on the Gold Coast. She started playing tennis at the age of just three! During a recent interview with ABC News, Gadecki was asked to reflect a bit about her mother’s role in her incredible journey. In reply to that, the Aussie tennis star said, “Yeah for sure I mean without my mom and my brothers definitely wouldn’t be in this position and I’ve got such an amazing support crew around me. And, yeah honestly I couldn’t do it without them. So, I’m very grateful to have them in my corner.”

Olivia Gadecki’s mother is Natalie Gadecki. However, not a lot of information is available about her background. Who else is there in her family? Well, there isn’t much information about her father either, but she has five brothers- Daniel, Davie, Adam, Andrew, and Thomas Gadecki.

Tennis runs in their blood! Four of her brothers have played tennis. Adam, who was born in December 1999 is also a tennis player. Andrey started his professional career in 2016 and he is currently playing on the ITF Circuit. Another brother, Daniel Gadecki who was born in 1995 recorded two victories and two defeats in his brief tennis career. Thomas Gadecki also competed on the ITF circuit and has a career-high singles ranking of No. 300.

As per several reports, Thomas was coached by Jeff Schneider and he also competed in the junior boy’s tennis division. He is currently playing on the ATP Circuit. There isn’t much information available about Davie and Andrew Gadecki. Their mother, Natalie played a crucial role during their growing up. Even when Olivia Gadecki made her first breakthrough at the 2023 AO, she was seen sharing a few thoughts about their hard-working mother. What did she say at that time?

In 2023, Olivia Gadecki made her debut at the Australian Open as a wildcard. She defeated Polina Kudermetova in the first round match, but she was eventually defeated by Marta Kostyuk in the second round. However, her incredible performance in her 7-5,6-1 win against Kudermetova caught the eye of several tennis fans. Two years later, she entered the same tournament being Australia’s number one.

Following her victory over Kudermetova, Gadecki paid tribute to her mom for shaping up the tenacious athlete she became over the years. “My mum has put a lot of time, sacrifice, and dedication into my career, so I’m really happy we can share that moment together. [She] means so much to me. I look up to her in every sort of way, and without her, I wouldn’t be here today, so I’m just eternally grateful for her time and sacrifice,” she said.

Even her mother got a bit emotional at that time, as she said, “You can’t describe that – I think you need to live this moment. It’s very hard to describe it.
