One-time grand slam champion Caroline Wozniacki has had a stellar and path-breaking career as a tennis player, to say the least. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in 2018, which eventually forced her to retire from the sport in 2020 after playing her last match against Ons Jabeur at the Australian Open that year. However, she has enjoyed an eventful and happy personal life away from the tennis court ever since, at the center of which are her 2 children – her daughter Olivia born in 2021, and her son James, born a year later.

If her recent Instagram story is to go by, Wozniacki is having the time of her life with her kids. She couldn’t help but praise a certain quality of her daughter Olivia as she shared an adorable video of her.

Back in her heydays, Caroline Wozniacki was a force to reckon with on the WTA tour. She reached the pinnacle of her career after winning the 2018 Australian Open title. Amassing a total of 30 WTA titles in her career, the Danish star became the first Scandinavian woman to reach the world number 1 spot in the women’s rankings.

She was particularly known for her devastating backhand down-the-line shots that caused a lot of problems for her opponents. Her backhand skills may have become a little rusty after donning the role of a mother, but it seems that she has successfully instilled her qualities within her 2-year-old daughter Olivia already!

In her recent Instagram story, Wozniacki shared an adorable video of Olivia hitting the tennis ball which delightfully reminded her of her own signature shot! She captioned the video, “Daughter like mother, got the backhand down 🤪😅”. In 2017, the Dane opened up about her relationship with NBA star David Lee. The couple tied the knot in 2019 and were blessed with 2 kids, Olivia and James.

Life, indeed, has come full circle for Caroline Wozniacki! It was at the Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati where she made her professional debut on the WTA tour in 2005, as a 15-year-old. And how befitting that after a 3-year hiatus, she is all set to return to the court at this very venue in less than 2 weeks, with the Cincinnati Masters scheduled to begin from the 12th of August. She will enter the event as a wildcard entrant. Not only this – Wozniacki also has plans to participate in this year’s US Open, and she has already accepted a wildcard for the same.
