Danielle Collins was in tremendous form throughout the tournament. However, she has been suffering from a back spasm in the previous rounds and in the final as well. That’s the reason she was not sitting down during changeovers throughout the tournament.
Speaking to a reporter, Collins said, “yeah, it was the reason I wasn’t sitting down the whole tournament… was actually recommended at one point by one of the physical therapists… just to keep my back from spasming… which has been challenging… today, it was not my physically, if I’m being completely honest.”
