In the conversation with Tennis Channel’s Prakash Amritraj, Miami Open 2024 winner Danielle Collins disclosed a surprising fact about her post-retirement plans. Collins defeated Kazakhstani tennis star, Elena Rybakina to bag her Miami Open victory. Given her retirement-related announcement, this victory meant special not just for Collins but for all her fans.

Bombarded by retirement questions, Danielle Collins showed great maturity with her response. Along with her travel plans, she dropped another hint regarding launching a book on herself.

In her post-victory interview at the Miami Open, Collins expressed her gratitude to the fraternity which brought up a very special post-retirement plan for her. Collins said- “Friendships that I’ve gotten to make over the course of my career. I could tear up talking about, I mean, the players you, Steven like I yeah, that’s one of the most special things. And hopefully I’ll get to, you know talk about that in my book someday, right.

When Amritraj dropped a surprised expression to this response, Collins further forwarded with her comment. She said- “Maybe we’re gonna do a hard book launch now after this.”

From her expression and her comments, it seemed like Danielle Collins truly enjoyed her victory. More than that, she was happy to have this feat at this stage of her career. Collins also spoke about that happiness in her recent statements.

Danielle Collins admits to having ” a lot of emotions” winning the Miami Open 2024 tournament

Since Collins announced her planned retirement after this season, all eyes were on her to show her spirit and skills. Now, this American WTA star successfully kept the fans’ expectations and expressed utter happiness about it. Collins said- “A lot of emotions out there to have won this tournament, my home state, and the feeling that I’ve like playing in front of thousands of my best friends. Everywhere I looked, people were supporting me.”

Collins further admitted how this victory marks a special for her, “There was a woman by my towel box who was encouraging me and pumping me up. And in the other corner, there were other family that was giving me words of encouragement. I’ve never experienced anything like it and it is just really special being in my home state and to have won my first 1000,”

Danielle Collins might or might not launch a book on her tennis journey. However, fans are already amused and inspired by her success, resilience, and hard work. Nevertheless, in heavy hard, the fraternity prepares to bid adieu to their shining star and see the other exciting sides of her in the future.
