Yesterday, Serena Williams played her first match at the US Open this year where she beat the Montenegrin player Danka Kovinic in straight sets. While she was playing, her family, including daughter Olympia and husband Alexis Ohanian, was cheering her from the stands.

While the whole stadium was cheering Serena’s every point, Olympia remained very calm. In a recent social media post, Ohanian posted a video where he compared his creation with Olympia’s reaction.

Earlier, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian posted the video on his Instagram, and in the caption, he wrote, “Babygirl unphased. Dad losing it. As usual.”

As seen in the video, Olympia looked unphased and Ohanian was clearly more expressive. Apart from Olympia and Ohanian, Serena’s mom Oracene and sister Isha Price were also present in the player’s box. Moreover, they also became quite animated after Serena beat Kovinic.
Earlier, Serena made a grand entrance on the Grand Slam stage by wearing a stunning attire. As soon as she entered the arena, the crowd at the Arthur Ashe Stadium erupted. Interestingly, Olympia had a camera in her hand and she was clicking pictures of her mom. Later, on her official Instagram account, she posted a picture and in the caption, she wrote, “Hold still, mama!”

“I love you baby,” Serena wrote in the comments of the Instagram post. Olympia was wearing almost the same outfit as her mother during the match.
Serena faces a tough challenge in the second round at the US Open 2022
In the first round, Serena beat Kovinic 6-3 6-3 in 1 hour and 40 minutes. Although the scoreline looked in favor of the American tennis player, she had to battle hard to win against her first-round opponent.

Interestingly, she will face the no.2 seed, Anett Kontaveit, in the second round, which will be a tough match for sure. As per the rankings, the Estonian player looks certainly the favorite against the American legend. However, Kontaveit has had a disappointing hard-court swing so far, failing to make a mark in both Canada and Cincinnati.

Meanwhile, Serena will look at her past for inspiration. In 2007, she won the Australian Open while being no.81 in the WTA rankings.
