In January 2022, Chris Evert opened up about her Ovarian Cancer. Since then, she has been undergoing chemotherapy to ensure the complete removal of cancer cells. Since the time she first revealed her cancer, the champion has been quite vocal about her illness, and the line of treatment being followed, in order to educate the people around the world.

Going ahead on the same path with the same aim, Evert yesterday took the next big step. Recently, Evert took to her Twitter, announcing her newest collaboration.

Evert ties up with HBO to shoot her chemotherapy

Chris Evert has previously featured in a documentary named ‘Unmatched’. She has also shared screen time on ESPN, being a tennis analyst for them. However, in neither of the two has she opened up much about her cancer. Nevertheless, the wait has come to an end. Taking to her Twitter, Evert announced her presence in an upcoming segment of HBO Real Sports. The segment is set to showcase Evert’s 5th chemotherapy.

She made the announcement saying, In an upcoming segment for HBO Real Sports, Mary Carillo and crew filming my 5 th chemo! One more to go. Know your family history, everyone.”

HBO Real Sports is Television’s most-regarded sports news coverage series, with 32 Sports Emmy Awards. Presently in its 27th season, the broadcast produces uncharted analytical pieces and top-to-bottom profiles from across the games range.

Chris Evert is unquestionably counted in the list of the greatest players of all time. Turning pro in 1972, within three years, the American legend reached the World No. 1 rank. Dominating the game like no other, Evert held the top position in the rankings for a total of 260 weeks, putting her in the fourth spot in the all-time rankings.

Evert and records go hand in hand. In her 17-year-long career, Evert won a total of 157 singles titles, 18 of which being Grand Slams. With 157 singles titles, Evert takes the third spot in the all-time list for Most No. of titles. Apart from that, she also led team USA to win 8 Fed Cup titles.
