Country Music Maverick Breland’s Talents Draw Venus Williams’ Attention as the Tennis Legend Makes a Surprise Appearance in Austin

Serena Williams retired from tennis in 2022. However, her sister, Venus, is still an active player and aims to return to the top once again. But unlike before, she is not restricting herself to tennis but is enjoying her off-court time even more. Recently, she attended a concert at a music festival. Her choice of artist showed her diverse taste in music as she had been rarely seen in a country music concert before. 

The two Williams sisters have a rather huge palate when it comes to their love for music. Throughout the years, fans have seen them in concerts of various artists in various genres. 

Venus Williams jams along to country music

Queen V has not been able to perform exceptionally in tennis. After a long hiatus due to injury, she has not played much and has exited many tournaments in round 1. Aiming to come back in improved form, Williams is not restricting herself and enjoying her off-court life. Most recently, her fans saw her at a concert in Austin, according to a report by the Austin-American Statesman.

The seven-time grand slam champion stepped out for the Austin City Lights Music Festival on 6th September. She was grooving to the country artist Breland, who released his debut album, “Cross Country”, last year. Williams was seen jamming to the artist and enjoying her time at the music festival. She is currently the oldest active player on the WTA Tour, but she is not letting that hold her back from enjoying her life.

The seven-time grand slam champion is a music lover by all means. She enjoys her time in concerts frequently. Just a few days prior to the ACL Festival, she was seen in the Fashion Capital of the world as a hip-hop icon.

Williams makes an appearance in Paris

Recently, Usher, an icon of hip-hop, rap and dance music, performed in Paris. Many celebrities made their way to watch him perform live along with none other than Venus Williams. Queen V attended the concert with immense enthusiasm, along with her fashionista friends. Her friends shared many pictures of the event, and her sister, Serena Williams, hilariously refused to acknowledge pictures which showed Venus. The younger Williams sister became jealous that she didn’t get to watch an Usher concert.

The elder Williams sister is a connoisseur of music. She tries many genres and doesn’t restrict her taste to only one. Her attendance in several concerts over the last few years is a testament to her love of music. It wouldn’t be a big surprise if we were to see her other concerts in the future as well.
