Her childhood coach, Rick Macci, also wished her recently. Interestingly, he used some unique words to describe the 7-time Grand Slam champion.

Macci has been a great influence on Venus, alongside her father, Richard Williams. According to the Oscar-nominated movie, King Richard, Macci played an important role to make Venus no.1 in the world. Not only Venus, but he also trained Serena to become one of the greatest in the game. Moreover, he was always there for the two young girls from Compton, while their father was not always around.

As part of a recent Question and Answer session on Instagram, a fan asked Venus whether she would be playing at Wimbledon. In reply, the American tennis player said, “Well, so no, I’m not playing. I Will be watching Serena.”
Despite missing out on the Wimbledon, she feels really excited about her sister, Serena’s comeback on the tour. Recently, she talked about keeping Serena’s comeback a secret for a very long time, as she is glad the secret is finally out.
