Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, is a big fan of Hollywood in general and Marvel Cinematic Universe in particular. Often, he’s seen enjoying movie dates with his wife, Serena. Additionally, he’s quite vocal about them and keeps posting on social media his views and opinions about MCU movies. Not just on the entertainment front, Alexis has used MCU movies’ examples in his business ventures too. Recently, a saddening update dropped about a character from the MCU to which the Reddit co-founder reacted.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s timeline runs a few years ahead of our timeline. Going by that, a major event occurred that falls today according to our timeline. Here’s what happened to which Alexis expressed his emotions.

Today marks the official day that Tony Stark, aka the Iron Man, passes away. According to the MCU timeline, we’re now at a point in time where the battle against Thanos in Avengers: Endgame takes place. In the battle, the Iron Man attaches the stones to his armor and disintegrates Thanos. Eventually, he goes on to save the universe.

However, the battle takes a huge toll on Stark due to the gamma radiation and the power of the stones. Further, he dies on the battlefield while he’s been surrounded by the likes of Peter Parker, Rhodey, and Pepper Potts.

This event went viral like wildfire on social media and invited reactions from millions of fans worldwide. The Reddit co-founder, Ohanian, also reacted to it. He took to his official Twitter handle where he wrote, “RIP KING.” The event has gone on to become one of the most heartbreaking events in MCU history.

Further, Alexis’ entire family is a big fan of Iron Man. His six-year-old daughter even turned into that character once by repeating his famous line.

When Olympia became Iron Man

Serena and Alexis’ elder daughter, Olympia Ohanian, is an adorable character who has her own fan following on social media. Fans often get to see wonderful moments from her day-to-day life. She once enjoyed a joyous time with her father, where the latter turned to “fundamentals”, showing off three collector cards to Olympia.

They featured some popular superheroes like The Incredible Hulk and Captain America. Additionally, it also had Iron Man, which Olympia didn’t recognize. Subsequently, her father helped her name Iron Man. He made her repeat after him the iconic words from the Marvel movie in 2009. Finally, Olympia spoke the iconic line, “I am Iron Man”.

While it may not be the happiest of endings to the Avengers, Ohanian seems to have created a new fan of Tony Stark aka Iron Man in his family.
