Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian’s older daughter, Olympia, is known for grabbing the limelight with her budding interest in sports: Soccer, tennis, and golf. But we bet you didn’t know Williams’ youngest, Adira, who is about 15 months old, loves playing sports, too. She is already proving to be a scene-stealer in her own right. In a new update, the proud mom shared a video on Instagram on Monday, where Adira could be seen on the tennis court. What was she doing?
In the video, Adira could be seen playing with a tennis ball. “Here, put it here,” Williams attempted to get her daughter to throw the ball into the box she was holding, but to no avail. Williams hilariously shook her head as Adira threw the ball in the opposite direction. She captioned the video, “When’s too early? @adiraohanian,” signifying that her daughter was already growing up with a flair for sports.
Now, while Serena Williams didn’t specify who shot the clip of her with Adira, we suspect it was Olympia. Her laughter, as heard during the video, gave it away. What followed were adorable reactions from Williams’ former coaches, Rick Macci and Rennae Stubbs.

Taking to X, Macci shared Adira’s adorable video and wrote, “Serena’s comeback has started in prequalifying!! Let’s go!! 🏆.” Remember, the American coach mentored Williams during her childhood days between 1991 and 1995. In 1995, at the age of 14, Williams successfully made her professional debut at a qualifying event in Quebec City. But Annie Miller defeated Williams, and the latter didn’t play another professional match until 1997.
However, Richard Williams soon took over the coaching duties after 1995. But Macci and the Williams are friends to this day and the former coach loves watching Serena’s kids grow and explore sports. Meanwhile, a similar reaction followed from Rennae Stubbs, who joined Williams’ coaching team in 2022, as she attempted to win her 24th major.
Responding to the video on Instagram, Stubbs made a heartwarming gesture and commented with a, “❤️.” Williams, along with her husband Alexis Ohanian, welcomed Adira in August 2023—a year after she decided to bid adieu to the sport and grow her family. Interestingly, this is not the first time when the star player has shared an adorable moment about her daughters.

Is Adira Ohanian destined to carry the Williams legacy on the tennis courts?
Have an interesting take?
In October, the 43-year-old shared some pictures on her Instagram as she got dressed up, along with her daughters Olympia and Adira, to attend Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour show in Miami. In yet another video that Williams shared in late September, she was seen playing with her younger daughter.
The little girl tried to escape from Williams’ grasp, as was seen in the video, but finally made her way back to her mama’s chest. She also nearly bonked the tennis legend in the head who can be seen smiling in the video and enjoying the various aspects of motherhood. Captioning the post, Serena Williams wrote, “The best mornings with @adiraohanian.”

Serena Williams has often highlighted her love for her daughters. Be it taking them to the stands to watch matches or opening up about her love for them despite the struggles motherhood brings along, she has expressed her gratefulness for becoming a mother. One such scenario took place in August when Williams revealed that it had been a year since she welcomed Adira to her family and expressed her immense love for her.
Captioning a picture on Instagram, she wrote, “Olympia is always there for me. Before having a second child, I always wondered, ‘how could I love anything as much as I love @olympiaohanian?‘”
Continuing further, the star player added, “Then Adira came along … she is so special, so fun, so funny, so loving, so sweet and so strong!!! You see, God makes your heart get bigger. Because my love for Olympia has not dimmed. My heart simply now is doubled the size and I have a greater capacity to love more!”
