There is no end to Coco Gauff’s coach, Brad Gilbert’s misery, as he hops from one European nation to another in search of a solution. Gauff and Gilbert are at their final destination, London, for the Grass Slam and the coach and his prodigal trainee would be aiming for the ultimate glory. But before that, he has a complaint to make again, to set things straight.

Traveling to other nations is a part of tennis. Since the start of Clay Swing, the center of attention shifted to Europe for the next few months. Gauff’s coach is having a great time, with Gauff winning the French Open titles in women’s doubles. However, this one issue has followed Brad Gilbert from the beginning of the European tour, in Rome. Then it proceeded to France, before moving on to London, and finally the fourth time at the Grass Slam village. The issue of “half-glass shower doors.”

Gilbert certainly thought that his previous complaint must have been taken into account. However, to no respite, as his ridiculous luck has stroked again, he met with half things back at the village! What followed next was another complaint on social media. He tweeted his nightmare about showers on X, “My bad 😞 streak of the ridiculous half shower 🧼 is up to 4, moved into nice 👍 flat in the village this morning and of course both showers 🧼 ,”

In his defense, it is a genuine issue, as the water flows out, soaking the whole bathroom and making a mess. He further explained the issue, “Have the ridiculous half thing that gets the bathroom completely soaked everywhere I don’t get it.” Confused as to what, the European states he visited, have half doors for when they are not working in restricting the water.

It seems the issue won’t be sorted out anytime soon. Meanwhile, Brad Gilbert has another pressing campaign coming: guide Coco Gauff to Wimbledon glory. And he has stayed up to date on the court conditions while believing in Gauff’s potential to conquer any opponent.

Coco Gauff’s coach believs that grass court and European weather may lead to surprising results

If Wimbledon weather reports come true, it would be topsy-turvy weather leading to difficult court conditions. Making it harder for the participants to navigate through. A similar experience as Paris, at the Roland Garros, where weather wreaks havoc, matches in the middle. Hence the player who adapts to the situation better would be the winner.

Sharing his views on the Wimbledon weather, Gilbert said, “If it’s really warm during the tournament courts get worn out a bit faster, especially behind the baseline, they will play a bit higher bouncing as well.” As the grass courts get worn out, leading to more bounce into the ball.

The hard-working Gauff is never complacent and is continuously working on improving herself to get better. And Gilbert firmly believes in the 20-year-old leaving her mark in tennis history with this quality of hers!
