When Coco Gauff playfully revealed how music helps her calm before matches

Coco Gauff has achieved immense success on the courts. But besides her talent and skills that help her win the matches, the star player once highlighted how music also helps her prepare for her matches and overcome external stress.

In an interview during the Indian Wells Masters this year, Gauff playfully revealed her pre-match ritual. “Some people don’t know this, before I go on court I like to play loud music because I actually don’t like to hear you guys when I walk on bc it makes me nervous. So I put on music,” said the player. The American sensation also likes to listen to music while doing her household stuff and this habit gets a further boost when she is at the gym.

Revealing this in a video for USTA, Gauff shared, “I just like to listen to music, while doing whatever I’m doing. Yeah, I mean, the bike is calming. It gets repetitive for me, so I do switch it up, between the treadmill and the bike but, as long as I have music, I think it’s the most relaxing.” As she now receives a remarkable musical ode from Tyler, it would be interesting to see what lies next for the star in music.
