We all need to take a step forward to improve and feel on par with the efforts put into our craft. Coco Gauff is no exception to this. The young talent parted ways with ex-coach Brad Gilbert to remedy her serving woes, and now, seeing as she gears up for the upcoming season, the American sensation got a brand new pair of kicks from her $4.3 billion sponsor, New Balance. However, Gauff believes that fans couldn’t spot some of the easter eggs in her latest personalized shoe.

A quick rundown for the uninitiated: Gauff kicked off her private line with the sporting giant in 2022 with the release of CG1 shoes. She wore that iconic pair to win her maiden Major in New York that year. “I won my first major in the CG1. So, that shoe will always be special to me.” However, as the game’s pace steadied, it was about time that a new edition to her line-up was released, and thankfully, it happened merely days before starting her 2025 run.

The American player took to her Instagram and unveiled the second generation of her New Balance shoe series. While discussing major improvements and key details about the pair, Gauff also highlighted that ‘CG2’ also comes loaded with a bunch of easter eggs. Unfortunately, according to the former World No. 2, fans were far from spotting those clues, prompting her to showcase those intricate details herself. The revolutionary shoe comes engraved with her initials on the shoe sole, providing a classic theme to her customized pair.

She said, “So as you guys know with my first shoe with New Balance the ‘CG1′ I had a lot of easter eggs. On this shoe, I had my name, the coordinates of the park I grew up playing tennis, my parents’ sports on the back of the shoe but the ‘CG2’ with a little bit less easter eggs, but there’s still easter eggs, but there’s particularly this one I haven’t seen anyone pick up yet.”

Upon learning the jaw-dropping facts, Gauff told the reporters in Riyadh: “I didn’t know, like I knew it was some money, but I didn’t know that much. Oh it means a lot to me… I have bought a house… I’m going to a music festival next week. So, I don’t know, I’m not someone who likes to spend a lot of money to be honest. I don’t know what I’ll do with it. That’s a lot of money.”
